The Ninja 300 is lightweight and agile with a 296cc parallel twin that delivers 29 kW (39 hp) at 11000 rpm. So it still needs to sing to get to its full power — but adequate torque also comes on low, making it a sporty bike at commuting speeds.
The Ninja 400 is a great beginners bike. If you want a new beginner bike, Ninja 400 will be a solid choice. I think buying a used cheap bike, and then upgrading to a bigger bike soon after is a good path. I started on a Ninja 650 and feel like I would have gotten bored of a 400 or smaller really quickly.
You should be fine on a 400 and it'll likely be much more fun than the 250 (might get bored of the 250 quickly). My first bike was an '09 lowered zx6r, which was manageable, but moved on given it was a little too big and heavy - mostly when stopped or at low speeds. Psychological-Lie283 • 10 mo. ago.
the weight limit is 397lbs. you will be riding at 65% of the weight limit, seems fine. Reply Electrical-Ad-5902 • Ninja 400 •
Specifications of Bajaj Dominar 400. Bajaj Dominar 400 is powered by 373.3 cc engine. This Dominar 400 engine generates a power of 40 PS @ 8800 rpm and a torque of 35 Nm @ 6500 rpm. The claimed
The gearing changes up to 14/44 do NOT reduce top speed, because the 400's pwoer curve rolls downward so SLOWLY at high rpm (It's a GREAT power curve by industry norms). For the 14/42 gearing and 18lb weight off (what a dragracer would presumably want to do, before any costly engine mods), the best shift points turn out to be: 1st to 2nd
The 400 is lighter, but mostly due to having a smaller fuel tank. The 300 made up for the neutering of the Ninja 250 it suffered over the years (lowering the redline, mostly) making it a truly good choice in its day. The Ninja 400 is good, don't get me wrong, but I like the 300 better, as it was the equal of the bikes of it's day, where the 400
Kawasaki decided to improve the new model as much as they could… without raising the price. We’ve seen this strategy with other Ninjas lately: no price increase from the Ninja 300 to the 400, and a price decrease for the latest ZX-6R. The 2020 Ninja 650 is still $7,299 or $7,899 for the ABS version.
Yes the ticking goes faster when i accelerate. When i keep same speed and shift up. The ticking slows down with my RPM. Example. 6000rpm in 4th, upshift to 5th. Then I’ll be at 4000rpm in 5th. Ticking will slow down because I’ll be at 4000rpm. RPM dictates how fast the ticking is.
